It grew!

Remember my plea last month? .... Grow garden, grow!!

Well, it did. In fact, it is growing right over the fence, out into bunny rabbit domain. The tomato plants are about 5 feet tall and look more like a LARGE bush. Even the summer squash plants have grown extraordinarily tall.

I frequently have neighbors walking over to check it out. (Not to brag too much.... but mine is the best growing garden in the neighborhood!) One neighbor asked if I was using 'Miracle Grow'. (The answer is ... YES!)

Garrett's friend said he's sure the soil is so good here that we could plant keys and grow a car. I Wish!!!!

Certainly, I over-planted. The other day, I picked over 30 cucumbers and almost as many summer squash. After handing out to all my neighbors, I still had ample left over. Today I took a basket full of vegetables to church and sat it on a table in the hallway with a sign that said "Help yourself". It was empty when we left church. I think I'll do it again next week.

It's so exciting to see everything growing so well! For next year, I think we'll enclose the whole area in with a fence, doubling the size of the garden and making it much easier to access the plants. Then I will add a pumpkin patch and another strawberry patch. YUMMY!!!
