Boy Scout Camp

This was Zach's first year attending BSA summer camp.  And it was awesome!!!!
There were 5 boys from his troop that went.  They had a great time together.  Zach was especially glad to have his good friend, Sam, there with him.
When everything was done, Zach ended up getting merit badges for Archery, Fishing, Geocaching and Reptile & Amphibian Study.
Yay!  Way to go Zach!

Here's a map of Camp Mitigwa

Don't you love their camp's name? .... Kickapoo!
(Only a boy would pick a name like that!)

I think playing with the frogs and snakes was his favorite part of the Reptile & Amphibian Merit Badge.

Here he's holding a harmless Corn Snake.

This, however, is a Boa Constrictor.

Shotgun shooting and archery were also fun.

Zach practiced archery before camp so he had pretty good aim.  But it still gave him a pretty good workout drawing back on those bows.  :)

Of course, the Fishing Merit Badge was his favorite.

And, to make his mom happy, his leader sent this picture to show that even when camping they remember good hygiene.
