Before school started

They boys weren't too excited about heading back to school so early this year (Aug. 15th).   But they made the best of their last few days of freedom. 

They stayed up late playing kickball and hide & seek tag with the neighborhood kids.  They spent a few afternoons at the movies & the mall, and a few evenings at the water park.  They also decided to use up the bucket of chalk by painting a mural on the driveway and sidewalk.  It was beautiful!  And though we'd prayed for the rain, we were a little sad to see it wash away their hours of hard work the morning after it was completed.  :(

The day before school started, Garrett surprised them by taking the morning off to go to the zoo.  

They had a great time!
