First Snow

First of all, I can't believe it's been 2 months since I posted last. Where does the time go? I keep thinking life will slow down a bit soon, but it just never does.
I finally took a few minutes for a quick update. So here goes....

We got our first snow of the season on Nov. 8th. The weather report said we would have snow flurries over night, so I told the kids not to count on seeing much of anything the next morning. But I was wrong. We woke up to a nice layer of wet, wet snow. As soon as Aiden saw it (6:30 a.m.) he asked if he could go right out to play. I made him wait for the sun to come up first! Then he spent 3-4 hours playing in it during the day. He had a blast!

Aiden and Grant (our next door neighbor) were little dare devils! They had so much fun sledding down the hill. I couldn't believe how far they got those little sleds to go! And the long walk back up the hill was no problem because they knew how much fun it would be to go down again.

All the kids in the neighborhood know our yard has the best sledding hill around. It's going to be a busy winter!

Parker recruited a little help in building his throne!
He started before school while there was still plenty of snow. But had to finish up after school when the sun had been out.
Now, two days later, the snow throne is the only significant amount of snow left!
