Hiking

We had a couple of fun outings for hiking. A new one for me this year was to Shakespeare's Arch and Chimney Rock in Kodachrome State Park. We used to go to Kodachrome all the time when I was a kid, but I've never been to the arch before. It was a beautiful little hike. The day was a scorcher, but it was still worth it!

Group shot at Chimney Rock.

Cousins: Jarom, Zach, Parker, Ian, Bella, Aiden,
near Shakespeare's Arch.

Aiden, enjoying the scenery.

Zach & Parker on the hunt for lizards.

They caught one (which they released shortly after)!

Parker & Ian lead the pack.

Yeah! We made it!

Another group shot with the Pink Mountains far in the background.

Our other fun hike was at Mossy Cave.
We go there every year and it never disappoints!

(Since I was packing a 1 year old, I didn't hike up to the cave or the waterfall this year. But here are a few snapshots from the path.)
Aleah carried the water bottles for us.

That red speck in the middle is Zach.

Playing in the water is always the best part.
Especially on a day as hot as this one was.
Aiden asks, "Can I get wet?"
ABSOLUTELY!

Bella & Aiden with their guide, Zach. :)
(Actually, maybe Bella was the guide on this day!)

Aiden & Aleah cross the bridge heading back to the car.
The heat has gotten to us. The younger kids are ready to go home while the older kids stay and hike up to the waterfall.
