It's tradition

It's tradition.
Each year we decorate gingerbread houses during the Christmas holiday. And it's always so much fun!

Here's Zach's finished house, with a poor Santa cookie that fell off the house in a snow slide.
Below, he poses as he starts decorating one of his gingerbread men.

Parker was very focused and organized in decorating his house.
And it turned out great.
(Now he doesn't want anyone to eat it! It's for display only!)

Last year, Aiden was much more focused on eating the candy than on decorating. We assumed this would be a repeat and didn't get him his own house to decorate. That was a mistake! He insisted that he get to decorate one too. So we pulled out the graham crackers, frosting and extra candy. His dad helped him put it together, then Aiden did all the decorating.
He did a marvelous job! And he didn't waste any time eating it upon completion!
