Ears....
birds, music, sirens, crying, laughing, whispers, ..... sounds.
What a marvelous wonder, this fantastic body of ours!
Ears ....
Can't eat; can't sleep; it hurts; please help!
What a rough two years its been.

Aiden is almost two. And for the last (almost) two years, he has struggled constantly with ear infections and constant fluid pressure. And now, at last ... RELIEF! He got tubes in his ears just over a week ago. And he is a changed boy! Where before we had brief spurts of his bubbly personality, we now have a constant smile, verocious appetite, and quiet, sleep-filled nights.
This well-rested boy is absolutely cracking us up now with his zaney personality!
This is a picture of him after returning home from out-patient surgery. He survived it with the help of his Dad!
(Yes, I was there too .... but he is SUCH a Daddy's boy!!)

Aiden .... What are you doing?

Making spoon cookies!

The house is too quiet.
That usually means somebody is into mischief.
What could be mischievous about reading a book?
It's Zach's book.
And Aiden always rearranges where the bookmark is. So the big-boy books are set up high where he can't reach them now.
All the more reason he wants them....
and knows to hide well if he gets his hands on them.

My little handyman is at it again.
Whether it needs it or not,
the batteries are getting changed!
Real tools are always the best toys!!
Right Grandpa?
