Hiking
We had some fantastic hikes through two different slot canyons in the Grand Staircase National Monument (down Cottonwood Road). Garrett went on the first hike while I stayed home with the little ones. Then I went on the next one while he stayed home. He definitely got the more challenging hike.
I'm pretty sure this is picture overload, but it was so amazing I had a hard time limiting it down to just these!
Before heading out, Scoob loaded in too. He doesn't like Dad leaving him behind. But for as fierce as he looks, I hear he's quite a wimp .... had to be carried over the rough spots. ; )
These are the brave adventurers.
Jarom's carrying a ladder because the first drop into the canyon requires a rope and/or ladder to get down safely.
(They encountered a 'local'.
Much better than the 'local' from our next hike ...
a rattlesnake.)
(I guess nobody taught Scoob how to climb a ladder.)
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
