Aiden LOVES to be a helper.
It really doesn't matter what you're doing ...
he wants to help.
However, he's also at that independent age.
So now, he doesn't wait for someone else to initiate.
He just looks for things that need to be done.
Feeding the pets is one of those things.
And as far as he's concerned ...
the MORE the BETTER!
Whenever we hear noises in the cat's room
or from one of the pet cages,
we have to go and check on him.
Overflowing cat food is easy enough to clean up.
However, a hampster cage door left open
spells disaster. Especially since it's a dwarf hamster
(only about 3 inches x 1 inch size).
So far we've been lucky.
I've only found him out of the cage once.
Hope my luck holds.
