Aiden ... You're so funny!

Now that Aiden speaks so well, he says something every day that cracks me up.

The other day he asked me to open his Play Doh. When I handed it back to him he said, "Thanks Mom. You're so smart."

I didn't let Zach have any cookies, candy, etc. until he was over 2 years old. (First child has it so rough!) Aiden, however, has a regular sweet tooth already. He slept in late one morning and was very hungry when he woke up. The first words out of his mouth were, "I NEED TO EAT!" I said, "OK, what do you want?" He replied, "I have cake?" No.... "I have cookies?" No .... "I have chocolate milk?" No.... (Pouty voice) "OK, I have regular milk". Then he ate a nice big bowl of oatmeal. :)

While his Aunt Savannah & Uncle Aaron were here he kept asking "I have donuts?" We don't even have any, and I think he's only had them once .... but I guess he remembers. And he thought his Uncle Aaron was a 'softie' and would somehow get him some. (No donuts ... but they did give us a big box of fudge. YUM!!!)

A few days ago Aiden slipped and fell off the couch. He immediately said, "Oh, shoot!" Garrett's eye's went as big as silver dollars and he said, "Did you hear what he just said??" I kind of shrugged and answered, "Honey, I could say alot worse". It took me back to the days when Zach was known as 'little sponge'. You've got to be careful what you say, because everyone will know based on what your child says!

For the most part, I can understand everthing Aiden says. But occasionally there is a big, hard to pronounce word. The other day he asked me for a croissant. It took him about five tries before I got it. By the last time of asking him to repeat it, he hesitated, came close to my face, looked right into my eyes, and said it very slowly. How frustrating it is to have to slow it down so mom can understand!

Garrett was holding Aiden when he came to tell me a knock-knock joke. It goes ...
Knock knock.
Who's there?
Impatient cow.
Impatient cow who? ...(But before they can finish asking, you interrupt with....)
MOOO!!
(Get it?? IMPATIENT cow. Won't let you finish your question.)
Aiden thought it was hilarious. Now he goes around saying, "Knock, knock. Who's there? MOOO!"
For some reason, nobody else laughs quite as much at his joke as we do. :)

His other favorite thing to say right now is 'Swiper, no swiping'. Can you guess what his favorite show is?

I really need to get a notebook and start writing a few of his funny phrases down. I never can remember it when I want to write it. Oh well. At least this is a start.

Hope your life is as HUMOROUS as ours!!!!
