The update
Yesterday we went for a little walk. Just down the street they're building a new house and we decided to go watch some excavating work. When this guy saw us watching, he pulled over, turned down his machine, and asked if any of the kids would like a ride. Of course!!! Aiden was so excited to give it a try.
What a nice guy! He just made Aiden's day!
Yesterday was a special conference for our church and Garrett was in charge of handling all the video to broadcast to all the rooms in the Stake Center. (Over 1,600 people showed up and it was standing room only!) He needed to run the video switcher and needed two other people to run the cameras. The guy he would normally have help was unavailable. So he gave Zach a last minute lesson on how to run the camera. And Zach was one of the cameramen for the conference. (He did great!)
Well, seeing the 'training' going on, Aleah did not want to be left out. So she got a little training too.
Doesn't she look like a pro?
Is this from December?
NO!!! It is this past week .... May!!!
It snowed for two days. Doesn't look at all like spring!
(OK ... maybe just a little like spring. You can still see the flowers poking up out of the snow.)
April is a month LOADED with birthdays in our family ....
including mine. Garrett knows I like to keep it 'low key',
but he and the boys planned a nice surprise party for me...
complete with carrot cake (my favorite), fun decorations,
a piñata with lots of candy for the kids, and
good friends to celebrate with. It was a great evening!
A few weeks ago (before the snow!), Garrett, Zach & Parker went fishing for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon. For us, fishing is mostly about enjoying the outdoors, hanging out together, and untangling lines. Not a lot of fish as of late.
But this day was the exception. Zach caught a big one!
Yay! Makes for a great afternoon!
