January was CRAZY!!! We decided it's time to sell this house and build a new one. That requires SO MUCH work! Thankfully I have a fantastic husband and family, and a super hardworking sister that volunteered to pack up the house and help replace the flooring.
Aaron, Garrett & Zach ripped out all the carpet.
Then, when Aaron had to head back to work, Savannah stayed for the week and helped Garrett wrap up the new laminate flooring. Hooray! It turned out great!
We hired someone to install new carpet in the upstairs, living room, and den. But we had to have all the old carpet out and nails up before they came in first thing Monday morning. So we worked hard on Saturday, then improvised the rest of the weekend with the plywood flooring everywhere.
Once the new carpet was in, we wondered why we hadn't done it sooner. It is SO nice and soft. We love it! Hope the buyers that come to see our house love it too. :)
In contrast to last year, we had some good snow this year. And even though the older boys were off to school during the day, Aiden took the opportunity to go play in it by himself. He became quite the pro at flying down the hill on his sled!
