SO behind on posting ....
It's been a while since I've posted, but here's a quick recap of the past month.
First of all, the older boys both had fabulous end of the year choir concerts, but my pictures turned out fuzzy. (Bad mom photographer!) But trust me ...
they looked great and sang fabulous!!
Here, Aleah is enjoying a wonderful chocolate treat that Parker made.
Every year I ask for carrot cake for my birthday. Nobody else in the family likes it, but I love it!
This year I told them I would make my own cake. It is only a carrot cake on the outside. Inside, they were all pleasantly surprised to discover, was a plain jane yellow cake.
I had great helpers blowing out the candles!
While Parker was on a nature hike with his scout troop, Garrett took the other kids for a little fishing.
I found this super cute, kid-sized table and chairs at a garage sale. They love it! And so do I!
Aleah was naughty! Thankfully it was just chalk that she painted with this time.
However, the following week it was crayon! In about 60 seconds she had drawn a path along the walls from the kitchen, to the office, to the front entry. That took alot more scrubbing than the chalk.
Aiden loves to build with blocks and asked for a picture of the castle he made before his sister knocked it over.
Grandpa & Grandma Breit and Aunt Jessica stopped in for a visit during their cross country trip.
Grandpa helped Garrett put up on in-ground basketball hoop for the boys. (Forgot to get a picture of the completed project. I'll add that later.)
Aiden and Aleah loved helping too.
Anything for an excuse to play in the dirt!
And the grand finale .....
Aiden and Aleah now have the hand, foot & mouth virus. YUCK!!!!!!
Aleah has done much better than Aiden. His mouth is so sore he can't eat anything. And his hands and feet are raw with the sores. Next thing to come is the blisters. Which is the stage Aleah is in right now. Sadly, her's is not limited to hands, feet and mouth. It is also legs, arms, face, belly button, diaper area .....
Again, YUCK!!!!
It's reminds me of having Chicken Pox. Fever, rash, blisters, itch, itch, itch, and lasting all week.
I'm so sad for these little ones!!!!
