We have three separate garden boxes.
This one has potatoes, corn, carrots, onions,
watermelon, cantaloupe and weeds.
This one has tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, cucumbers, and NO weeds. (We used landscape fabric to cover any unintended growth.
This one still grows on the deck.
Its the 'emergency replacement' bunch.
Just in case a storm wipes out
my in-ground plants.
These are the 'gaurdians of the garden'.
The robins are great! I love the birds!
The bunnies, however, would love to be
guarding inside the fence. They are THE
REASON the gardens have fences.
I still think they're cute, and don't mind
having them wandering the yard ....
As long as they don't get into the garden.
Right in the middle is a beautiful, yellow
Goldfinch. They are small and fast, so they're
hard to catch on camera. But they also love
to frequent the garden. It's fun to see groups
of them swoop in, or sitting on the fence.
