Our indoor garden is ready to move to a more permanent home outside. I'm a bit disappointed on how the indoor starts did ... but for a first try, I guess it's OK. There are plenty of peas, summer squash, cucumbers, and strawberries. However, we had to start over on our cantaloupe, watermelon and pepper plants. Many others will just start from seed in the ground -- including some Iowa sweet corn! We're hoping to get our garden spot tilled and ready to go by next week. YEAH!!

Ready for Spring
I know it's 'officially' spring already .... but it sure hasn't seemed like it much until this past week. Now that the weather is warming up a bit (60's), we are ready to enjoy the outdoors again and get to work on our gardening.
We've got Aiden's sandbox set up on the deck.
Time to sweep floors every day!
We finally got our fruit trees planted. (Another 'working date'.) Too bad it will take a few years to enjoy the fruits of our labors! But I'm sure we will savor them all the more for having to wait so long.

Zach and Parker have built some birdhouses to hang outside. Now they are painting them with flowers and bright colors. We love the birds here!! Hope some of them are looking for a bright new home!
Aiden loves to play with Play-Doh, so he entertains himself with that while the boys paint.
