Friday night, the ground was clear and dry.
Saturday morning, there was a foot of snow to shovel.
After we shoveled for an hour, the driveway and sidewalk
were cleared. But shortly after finishing,
the snow started up again.
Our neighbor poked his head out to say it looked like
we were finally getting a date -- a snow shoveling date!!
So naturally, we decided to have our 'date' picture taken,
complete with 'his' and 'hers' snow shovels.
.

The snow is deep -- but the boys think that is a good thing. :-)

Instead of a snowman, this time they opted for a snow fort.
It actually has three entrances (or exits).

Zach and Aaron (a friend from school) show off
the snow fort. Parker helped build it, but decided
to go back inside when his hands had
turned red from the cold.

The snow was thick and powdery --
nice for sledding.

Parker knows how to have a good snow day --
inside with LEGO's!!
I must agree -- 'inside' is my favorite
place to be on a day like this too.
(And I admit, I don't mind helping him
build LEGO creations. As long as I
have a good set of directions or
a good boss.)

Aw, you guys look so cute! Rach, your hair is getting long!
It looks like fun, but I think you need a real date. You guys are too funny. Did you see we got some snow in Las Vegas. Prett pitiful snow compared to what you got, but snow indeed. Lindsay was pretty excited.
I wish that Savannah would come on a "snow snovel date" with me. It's more like...Aaron there's a foot or two of snow, I'll have breakfast done in thirty minutes, will the driveway be shoveled by then? I just laugh and shovel away.
